This modification (mod) provides the means to limit the number of characters a customer can enter into a configurable field of the "short text" or "textfield".

The mod' was originally written for a jewellry site offering lines of engraving but could be used for stores that have similar requirements such as florists, custom greeting cards, etc...

This modification is provided in three versions instructions only, pre-modified or maintained.

Instructions only:
Modification instructions are provided and you must complete the file edits yourself.

Pre-modified:
You send the necessary files and you'll get them returned with all the files edited and ready to go for your first install. You will then be responsible for all updates yourself

Maintained:
Installation and updates/upgrades are carried out directly on your site (requires store admin login and FTP information)
